Macbuilt Company Profile

Managing Director Greg Macdonald explains what makes Macbuilt different from other construction companies.——————————————————

Macbuilt was set up by the current owner Greg Macdonald in 2005 in response to market demand for quality buildings delivered quickly without fuss at competitive prices. We changed our name in 2009 to Macbuilt Steel Buildings Limited when we split the company into two divisions, Macbuilt Construction and Macbuilt Interiors.

Macbuilt Construction designs and builds a range of different buildings from small dwellings through farm sheds to large purpose design industrial and commercial buildings. Macbuilt Interiors manufactures and supplies steel framing from our factory to interior fit out companies, residential housing companies and to Macbuilt Construction.

The two divisions complement each other in the respect that both are building related and we help each other when necessary. We also use our steel framing in our client’s buildings when we can.

Our Building Team
Our own Macbuilt Construction team consists of 2 tradesman builders who also act as our project managers on our projects. Under them we have two teams of 4 steel construction builders who erect our Macbuilt lightweight and structural steel design buildings. Macbuilt Interiors employees 3 full time staff who run the steel on our roll former and then assemble the sticks into steel frames ready for dispatch.

Macbuilt is supported by our engineering team who are responsible for the design of our buildings and detailing our steel framing orders ready for our manufacturing division to complete and dispatch. We also use a range of sub contractors and experts to assist in the construction of your project. These companies range from Geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, architectural designers, electricians, plumbers, earthmoving contractors etc. We have been working with the same people for several years and in many ways they are all part of the Macbuilt team.
